We have gained a reputation as a professional organization which provides very high standards of care and support, but also one that understands what it means to have struggling young families fighting for survival in these challenging times.
Families can find support and understanding at HEARTS.
Empowering families, individuals and communities
for sustainable growth, HEARTS of Cleburne is
dedicated to addressing immediate needs while
fostering lasting change. Through strategic
initiatives and collaborative partnerships, we
provide essential resources and support, laying the
foundation for long-term success and self-reliance.
Family focus is the center of our mission.
Our programs are designed to improve the quality of life for children and their families living in Cleburne County. We make sure our partners share this same vision by creating opportunities for individuals and communities to join together in supporting us with our ministry outreaches.
Our Thrift Stores enable us to gain funds from the selling of donated clothes and household goods. The funds that have been raised from the Thrift Stores are given back to the local community plus we will provide personal resources such as clothing, toiletries, or household goods for those in need.
At HEARTS, we strive to help every resident become self-reliant thus improving their ability to succeed.
Food is a basic human need and right, yet for many reasons, many communities throughout the world suffer from the lack of food. Food stands first among all basic needs – food, shelter, and clothing. It is important as it nourishes the human body- sustaining the very existences of humans. Not only does food define our identity, but it also shapes our physical, mental, social and economic existence. We must understand that how we eat determines how the world is used.
At HEARTS of Cleburne, we are striving to make a difference. We are always searching for ways and opportunities to address the hunger issue that exists within our community. We have developed a food pantry where local people can donate excess food products. The food that is donated to us is distributed to those people in the community who do not have access to food. Food donation drop-off and distribution is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community support we believe we can facilitate progress in this area.
Financial assistance is offered for low income clients needing assistance paying bills. We help with cooling and heating bills and possibly rent/mortgage payments. From time to time, we have assisted with medical and prescription co-pays. HEARTS offers financial assistance based on a case by case review of clients circumstances.
We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts to lessen the hardships caused by cancer. Since 2013, HEARTS has been providing much needed emergency services for eligible cancer patients throughout Cleburne, Calhoun, and Randolph counties in Alabama and Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties in Georgia.
We work to support residents with cancer and their families. We work directly with hospitals, treatment centers and medical practitioners across the six-county regions making the patient vetting process simple, efficient and comfortable.
Our HEARTS Cancer Relief Services program assists those cancer patients that are middle to low income individuals with a current cancer diagnosis that lack adequate insurance and have little to no family support. Our Cancer Relief Services program enables cancer patients to receive treatment that they would not normally be able to afford thus preserving life and giving these patients an improvement in their lifestyle.
Our latest initiative, the Stork Program is for expectant mothers who need starter help with baby clothes, formula, diapers, bath supplies, baby beds, etc.
It is our intent to help new moms and their babies get a jump-start on life.
HEARTS is honored to continue this memorial.
We are proud to announce the kick-off of a new program called Grandma’s Heart.
Hearts is bringing together ‘trained and trusted women of wisdom and experience’ to mentor struggling families, and support parents during the critical years of their children’s brain growth – from pregnancy to preschool (0-3 years).
Grandma’s Heart will give senior women an opportunity to stay active, involved, and learning, while giving back to their communities, establishing relationships, and finding a new life-purpose in their encore years!
Christmas Clearinghouse is a sponsorship program coordinated annually by HEARTS for Cleburne County families needing help providing Christmas for their children, school age and younger.
